# Google Sheets

Use any Google Sheet as the data source for a batch. Each row becomes a creative, and a header row names the fields your template expects.
Kind: data. Availability: live.

Most catalogs already live in a spreadsheet. Connect Google Sheets and use it as is: every row becomes a creative, every column fills a layer.

Your team keeps editing the sheet they know. Kalpana reads it when you create a batch.

## Connect your Google account

1. In your workspace, open **Integrations** from the sidebar.
2. On the **Providers** tab, find Google Sheets and click **Add connection**.
3. Give the connection a name, like marketing sheets.
4. Click **Continue to Google Sheets** and sign in with Google.
5. You land back on the **Connections** tab with the account listed.

Note: Kalpana reads your spreadsheets. It never edits or deletes them.

## Create a batch from a sheet

Keep one row per product, with a header row that names each column.

1. Open **Campaign Feeds** from the sidebar and click **Create batch** on a feed.
2. Under **Data source**, choose **Sheets** and pick your **Connection**.
3. Paste the sheet's URL under **Spreadsheet URL or ID** and click **Load**.
4. Choose the **Sheet** tab to use.
5. Add your templates and click **Preview batch** to check every creative.
6. Validate the rows, create the batch, then run it.

Note: The first row is read as column headers. Name columns after your template fields and they match up on their own.

## FAQ

**Does the sheet need a particular layout?**
One header row, then one row per creative. Keep product photos in your Kalpana asset library, and the batch uses them from there.

**What if I update the sheet?**
Load it again when you create the next batch. Kalpana reads the sheet as it is at that moment.
