# About Kalpana: creative automation for e-commerce

Kalpana fills your Figma designs from your product catalog, producing a banner, ad, listing image or short video for every SKU, with the layout intact.

Kalpana is a creative automation tool for e-commerce sellers and the agencies that work for them. Design a banner, ad or listing image in Figma and send it to Kalpana with the plugin: layers, fonts, effects and auto-layout come across as an editable template. Connect a product catalog from Shopify, Google Sheets or a CSV file, and Kalpana produces one creative per row as PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or MP4. Auto-layout runs again for every row, so a long product name grows its box instead of overflowing. Every row can be previewed before a credit is spent. Teams work in separate workspaces, and AI agents can run batches through the REST API and an MCP server.

Kalpana is built by [Shreekaram Technologies](https://shreekaram.tech). The name is Sanskrit for imagination: the designer imagines it once, and Kalpana makes the rest.

## How we build it
- Render the design you made. Kalpana does not invent layouts. It imports your Figma frame with its layers, fonts, effects and layout flow, and runs that layout again for every row of data.
- Nobody learns a new tool. Designers keep working in Figma and send frames with the plugin. The team that runs the campaigns works in Kalpana and never has to open Figma.
- Check before you pay. Every row can be previewed with the same engine that makes the final files. Previews, validation and failed rows are free; credits are charged only when a creative finishes.
- Say what it cannot do. Kalpana does not resize one template to other sizes, publish to ad platforms or add audio to video. The brand facts page lists every limit.
- Leave your data where it is. Catalog connections such as Shopify and Google Sheets are read-only: Kalpana reads rows to fill templates and never writes back. Storage connections only receive the creatives you choose to save.
